A letter to conservatives, birthers, etc… (Reposted from a friends bulletin on myspace)

August 24th, 2009

“Stolen” from a person named “масиElizabeth Ohlson” on facebook - not sure whether she wrote it, but it’s definitely worth repeating:

“You didn’t get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and appointed a President.

“You didn’t get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate energy policy.

“You didn’t get mad when a covert CIA operative got outed.

“You didn’t get mad when the Patriot Act got passed.

“You didn’t get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us.

“You didn’t get mad when we spent over 600 billion(and counting) on said illegal war.

“You didn’t get mad when over 10 billion dollars just disappeared in Iraq.

“You didn’t get mad when you saw the Abu Grahib photos.

“You didn’t get mad when you found out we were torturing people.

“You didn’t get mad when the government was illegally wiretapping Americans.

“You didn’t get mad when we didn’t catch Bin Laden.

“You didn’t get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed.

“You didn’t get mad when we let a major US city drown.

“You didn’t get mad when the deficit hit the trillion dollar mark.

“You finally got mad when.. when… wait for it… when the government decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, are all okay with you but helping other Americans… well f!*k that. That about right? You know it is.

“You people have all lost your f!*king minds. You are selfish, greedy, obnoxious, narcissistic, and frankly… stupid. Your pathetic little misspelled protest signs are embarrassing. Maybe you ought to find the smart person in your midst and let them make up all the signs, cause man, you look like a bunch of idiots further making America the embarrassment of the civilized world.”

Fox “News”: Church Members Dress Like Jesus to Protest Secularization of Christmas

December 31st, 2008

See for yourself.

A woman wearing a hommeade toga and a crwon of thorns.
Is that a tablecloth?

Like an artist whose medium is shit, I’m guessing their plan is to provoke a reaction through a conceptual performance piece called In Really, Really Poor Taste (Sacrilege?). Can’t see how this would garner any sympathy from the “Happy Holidays” crowd they’re apparently going after.

Secondly, this being the Christmas season and all, shouldn’t they be dressing as the baby Jesus? Like with diapers and halos or something?

Two things

December 20th, 2008

One:

I went to a Rush concert a while ago. (This is part of some sort of karmic penance I have to do. Look, I don’t want to go into it. Just bite me. I went. Let’s leave it at that, right?) The way these things go is they play a bunch of new crap no one has heard of before while we, the ticket buyers who paid a metric ass-load of money for the privilege, stand around getting drunk waiting to hear Red Barchetta or Spirit of Radio. That’s how these things work.

This is what people at Cure concerts are waiting for:

UPDATE: Had to replace broken link with “Lullaby”, hope this is what Cannonballer intended–if not he can fucken fix it his own damn self when he logs in sometime on 2011 or so.
Nice guess, but it was “Primary.”

If you’re not doing that stupid goth dance by the end of that, congratulations, you are not old. Also, too bad for you.

Two:

I like this number by The Duke Spirit:

That is all.

Of course users of the gimp are too smart to ever commit blunders like these!

The Power of Nightmares

July 22nd, 2008

Today’s Featured Article at wikipedia.org is The Power of Nightmares.

If you’re unfamiliar with the series of three hour-long documentary films, that’s probably because it has had limited exposure in the US. The reasons for this are obvious: it compares radical islam with neo-conservatism, showing how they are similar and feed off each other.

So be a good little mouse potato and go check it out!

I knew there was something fishy about that Count guy…
